Daily Ward

Daily Ward age 18 of Evant, passed away unexpectedly May 11, 2020.  Private services will be held at a later date.  

Daily was born in Hillsboro, TX and raised by his parents Anne Roberts and Jody Smischney in Coryell County.  He attended school at Evant ISD as a member of the class of 2020.  He represented Evant High at UIL in Spelling and Current Events and was an integral part of creating Evant High’s Drum Line.  In 2019 Daily was a founding member and drummer of a local rock band where he was able to express his love and passion for music.

Daily was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Allen Arthur Kroeger, maternal great grandmother, Winona Clark Kroeger of Burnet, paternal great grandmother, Mary Bigham Roberts and grandmother, Carolyn Fay Hancock of Gatesville. 

Daily is survived by his parents, Anne Latimer Roberts and Joseph Patrick Smischney Jr; sister, Levi Smischney; grandparents, Ben L. and Kay Kroeger Roberts; aunt, Sarah Evans Roberts and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  Other very important people in Daily’s life were “second mom”, Caren Geiselbrecht and son, Leslie; girlfriend, Skye Torres; The Blakley’s; bandmates, Rick Brown, Tate Blakley and Joseph Romero; extended music family; many friends and classmates.

On March 25, 2002 our family was blessed with my son, Daily Ward.  This most beautiful soul graced our lives in every way possible.  Daily taught us how love truly feels.  It has been an honor and a blessing to be your Mom and Dad.  We love you Sweet! - Mom and Dad
