Cynthia Lou Champlin

Cynthia Lou Champlin passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2024, at her home in Oglesby, Texas.

Celebration of Life services will be scheduled in New York later in the spring.

Cynthia was born on September 29, 1959, in Canandaigua, New York, to the late Carol Myers and Robert Champlin.

Cynthia lived in New York for most of her life but moved away about 25 years ago to start a life in Texas. She was planning on moving back to New York to be with family after her longtime boyfriend passed away. She was an avid fan of dirt track racing and you could catch her at a race almost every Friday night her boyfriend was racing. She was also a fan of NASCAR. Cynthia enjoyed sitting on her front porch and talking to various family members on the phone for hours.

Cynthia volunteered at The Shepherd's Heart Food Pantry, where she made some wonderful friends. She had a new found love for horses and would often tell her family members about the horses belonging to her friend. She had the biggest heart for any animal, no matter the species.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her longtime boyfriend Bill Eller; mother and step father, Carol Myers and Jim Greule; father and stepmother, Robert Champlin and Kathy Simmons; brother-in-law, Brad Stedge; nephew, Larz Haggerty; and grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
