Chris Johnson, age 51 of Copperas Cove, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. 

 A Celebration of her life will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Scott’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Chris was born June 1, 1973 in Kincheloe Air Force Base, Michigan, to Bruce and Trudy Weaver. She grew up and attended school in Aschaffenburg, Germany, graduating from trade school in 1990. At age 19, she moved back to the United States, later settling in Copperas Cove and going to work for a car dealership. While working at the dealership, she met Kevin Johnson, and after a brief courtship, they were married on September 4, 1996. She and Kevin moved to Hawaii for several years before moving back to Copperas Cove in 2001, where they have remained since. Chris enjoyed being a grandmother. She loved her family, friends, and pets more than anything. She also loved working in her rose garden and around her chickens. 

 She was preceded in death by father, Manfred Slabig and family friend, Linda Bode.

 Chris is survived by her husband, Kevin Johnson of 27 years; mother, Trudy Adkins; father, Bruce Weaver; children, Brooklyn Meza, and husband Brendon, Kristen Duffy and husband, Eugene, and Kevin Johnson Jr and wife, Cara; sisters, Carine Fox, Terri Miller and husband, Alex; brothers, Andreas Slabig and wife, Giuseppa, and Thomas Slabig; grandchildren, Evelyn, Isabella, Blakely, Everett, and Brexton; a host of nieces and nephews; and last but not least, her dog, Rex.
