Carl Wayland Bone

Carl Wayland Bone, age 88, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2026.

Carl was born December 2, 1937 in Coryell County to the late Blaine and Irene Bales Bone. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1956 and attended Tarleton State College. He lived and worked in Waco and Temple. He retired from the US Dept of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. After retirement, he lived in Tyler and Georgetown before moving to McKinney to be closer to family. He was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.

Carl is survived by his wife, Bonnie Berry Bone; daughters, Lezlie Smith and husband Randall of Flower Mound, and Lori Myers and husband Bob of McKinney; grandchildren, Sarah Smith Walsh and husband Brandon of Flower Mound, Rob Myers and wife Chasidy of Prosper, Karen Smith Ambriati and husband Chris of Flower Mound; eight great-grandchildren, Riley Walsh, Camden Walsh, Hutton Walsh, Graham Myers, Declan Myers, Bree Myers, Caden Ambriati, and Adelyn Ambriati. He is also survived by his brother, David Bone and wife Nancy of Hewitt.

Private burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.
