Brooke McCrone

On Monday December 5th, 2022, Brooke Reneé Loveday-McCrone passed away. Brooke was born on February 26th, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brooke is survived by her husband of 15 years Joe McCrone; mother, Susan Smith and husband, Dwayne of Gatesville; father, Richard Loveday and wife, Delores of Sandyvalley Nevada; sister, Pam Williamson and husband, Byron of Amarillo, Texas; and brother, Brad Loveday and wife, Shana of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brooke was a self described 3rd generation hippie who lived life to the fullest everyday! Brooke was a pediatric CNA for 10 years and worked in home healthcare as well. Brooke was also loyal employee at the local Cefco here in Gatesville for the last three years.

Brooke was a soccer fan and played for 20 years. She had a heart for helping people in all walks of life. She ministered at the women’s prison here in Gatesville. Brooke loved animals and was well known for helping any animal that needed it, even if it meant opening her home to them.

Brooke traveled recently with her husband Joe seeing Mt. Rushmore, the New York Halloween Day parade, and Niagara Falls. She got to see her favorite live show in New York and visit her old friends on the coast. Her unique love for the Grateful Dead and Dallas Cowboys was unmatched! Brooke loved her animals more than most people, so in lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter.

Memorial Services are being held at Scott’s Funeral Home, 2425 E. Main Street in Gatesville, Tx. Monday December 19th at 10:00am. Immediately following the service there will be a celebration of Brooke's life at First Baptist Church in Flat, Tx.
