Bettye Jo Wright

Bettye Jo Wright, age 97, passed from this earthly existence peacefully at home in Clifton, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Private interment will be at Restland Cemetery.

She was born on March 5, 1925 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to the late John and Laura Leverit Evans.  Bettye spent most of her adult life with husband, Kenneth, on a cotton farm on the South Plains of Texas near Meadow. With tremendous love, grace and patience, she helped raise two rowdy boys. Bettye was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation.  She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth William Wright in 2012 and eldest son, Zane Evan Wright in 2013

Bettye is survived by her son, Daniel Lance Wright and wife, Rickie Joyce of Clifton; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
