Betty Jean Edwards

Betty Jean Edwards, age 73, of Gatesville, passed away, Friday in Waco, Texas.  Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Restland Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Betty was born December 17, 1945 in Coryell County, Texas to the late Oscar Palmer and Lela Faucett Palmer.  She attended school in Flat, Texas, where she was the last graduating class in 1963.  Betty was a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church.  She loved cooking for her family and holiday gatherings.  Betty also loved canning, quilting, outdoors and camping.  She was a loving wife and mother with a huge giving heart. Betty is survived by her husband of 19 years; Ollie Edwards, sons; John Michael Hitt, Craig Hill and Brian Hill, daughter; Cammie Mighell and husband Bartt, step son; Mitchell Edwards and wife Cindy, grandchildren; Megan Haigood and husband David, Austin Hitt, Justin Hitt and wife Kaylin, great grandson; Avery Haigood and several nieces and nephews.
