Adrienne Diana Nelson passed away on October 9, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Memorial services will be held on October 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Scott's Funeral Home in Gatesville.

Adrienne was born on November 13, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee. Adrienne’s life was centered in the bonds of family, and her memory lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her son, Garrett Hawthorne; her daughter, Kaitlin Hawthorne; her mother, Diana McMaster, brother, Brandon Rogers; and grandchildren, Cleo, Sylas, Zaivyan, and Emirsynn.

Adrienne worked for many years as a server at Andy’s restaurant and Chateau Ville. After continuing her education, she then worked as a nurse at Hillside Medical Lodge for over 10 years, taking care of many patients with Alzheimer's. She was not only a wonderful nurse, but also was a wonderful mother and grandmother, which will always be her biggest accomplishment. Adrienne worked hard to provide for her family and always put others before herself.

Adrienne was preceded in death by her father, Roger McMaster; Seth Hawthorne, the father of her children; and her husband, Greg Nelson. Adrienne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who carry her memory forward.
