Pearl Moore

Pearl Moore, age 91, of Mound passed away Monday, November 18, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles McKamie officiating. Burial will follow at Smith-King Cemetery in Mound. There is no set time for visitation. Pearl was born on February 7, 1922 on the Royalty Farm in Mound, Texas to the late James D. and Ellen Browning Jones. She went to school at Flat. She married Jimmie Lee Moore on February 4, 1939; they resided in Mound all their married life. Pearl was a member of White Mound Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Moore in 1985; sons, Ronnie Moore in 1949 and Jimmie Moore in 2012; brothers, J. D. Jones, A. T. (Whitey) Jones, Tuffy Jones, Allen Jones, Johnny Jones, and Leon Jones; and sisters, Christine Jones, Gladys Bird, and Ruby Bird. Pearl is survived by her son, Travis Moore and wife, Vivian; daughter, Nancy Harris and husband, Dennis; daughter-in-law, Geneva Moore; six grandchildren, Mark Moore, Daren Moore, Alisa Gregory, Ronnie Harris, Nicole Gohlke, and Devan Harris; and 10 great-grandchildren.
