Belva J. Boyd

Belva J. Boyd, age 64, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at a Gatesville hospital. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, September 17, 2007 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Belva was born October 31, 1942 in Gatesville, Texas. She was the daughter of Floy G. Cooper and Lela C. Chambers Cooper. Belva attended school in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School. She worked for TDCJ as a Food Service Captain for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Joby Boyd, sisters: Lucille Fair and Dorothy Drake. Survivors include her son: Torrey Boyd and wife Shelly, brother: Howard Cooper, grandchildren: Josie Boyd and Cooper Boyd and numerous nieces and nephews.
